These are the three main things to look at when you are choosing a deep cycle battery. 

  1. Cycle Life: How many times can the battery be charged are cycled before the battery is exhausted. 
  2. Build Life: Build life is measured in years and is determined by the quality of the chemical composition of the battery. Build life represents the quality of the battery. 
  3. Warranty: A good indicator of the quality of the battery is the length of the warranty. The longer the warranty indicates the manufacturer is willing to back the actual quality of a battery. So generally the longer the warranty the better the battery.   

They are three basic guide points you can use when trying to purchase a Deep Cycle Battery.
